COURSE OVERVIEW


A bricklayer builds bricks from raw materials and then uses the final product to build walls,
floors, partitions and other brick structures. Depending on your preference or skill,
you may choose to become skilled in a specific type of material, e.g. Fire brick or cinder blockwork.
The more skilled you become, the more you can take on larger projects like fireplaces, arches,
steps and more complicated structures.



Admission Requirements

Grade 10, 11 and 12
Mathematics and Physical Science is not a requirement.



Certification and Examination Authority

All examinations are administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and IEB.
