COURSE OVERVIEW


Civil Engineers design, build, supervise, operate and maintain construction
projects in both the public and private sector. From the construction of roads,
railways, airports, bridges to the building of massive skyscrapers,
the civil engineer plays a critical role in bringing these to life.
Become part of the famous greats, like Lusanda Tyebileyo and Lerato Kotane,
founder and creators of the 100% Black-owned female construction company.



Admission Requirements

N3
N2 Certificate, or
A National Senior Certificate with Mathematics, Physical Science or any other technical related subject
N4
N3 Certificate, or
A National Senior Certificate with 40% in Mathematics and Physical Science



Certification and Examination Authority

Learners will receive the following at each level:
National Certificate N3,N4, N5, N6
National N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering on completion of N4-N6 (12 subjects) and 24-months’ of in service training
The National N Diploma includes two (2) years of theory and 24-months of in-service training.

All examinations are set and administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
The National N Diploma is issued by the DHET.

Further Studies

On successful completion, you will receive an N1, N2 and FLC Communication certificate and can then progress to the N3-N4 qualification.
