COURSE OVERVIEW


What is a Cloud Administrator?
Cloud administrators manage software and hardware associated with the use of cloud-based
services (e.g., Dropbox, G Suite, Microsoft Office 365).

Cloud administrators are one of several possible job options in technology that offer vital
cloud services that support businesses in their endeavors. A career as a cloud administrator
may be a good fit for someone who has a passion for IT systems management and a skill set that
emphasises cloud services. This qualification enables students to work with cloud engineers and
other cloud management staff, to assist the client establish their cloud services and maintain
smooth network operation.
Students gain an understanding of the principles of performance management, business planning concepts,
product costing, and general ethical behaviour and its impact on the workplace. They will be
well-equipped in how the industry works with the right workplace knowledge and people skills acquired
through this qualification.

Certification and Examination Authority

On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a statement of result
from Vaal Skills Training Institute (PTY) and upon meeting the EISA requirements, receive an Occupational
Certificate: Cloud Administrator from the QCTO. All Examinations are set and administered by
Vaal Skills Training Institute (PTY).
EISA is a single, national assessment which leads to competent learners being awarded Occupational Certificates.
It is an integral and critical component of QCTO’s quality assurance system,
as it ensures that the assessment of occupational qualifications, part-qualifications and trades is standardised,
consistent and credible. Qualifying for External Assessment: To qualify for an external assessment,
learners must provide proof of completion of all required knowledge and practical modules by means of
statements of results and a record of completed work experience.



Type of Programme

The programme duration is 1 year on a full-time basis, or 2 years on a part-time basis.
Tuition is face to face and is scheduled per campus.
Programmes are offered during the week on a full-time and part-time basis.
Part-time tuition is scheduled as per the stipulated planner.
